In 2015, our customers asked us a very reasonable question:
“Can you make a Wazoo hat?”
They didn’t mean a complicated hat. They meant a normal cap with our logo on it.
We thought about making a normal hat for about twelve seconds.
Then we did what we always do at Wazoo: we made it more capable. We added hidden pockets!
And that’s how the Cache Cap was born.
What is the Cache Cap?
The Cache Cap is a low-profile hidden pocket hat with 6 concealed pockets designed to stash small everyday essentials like cash, cards, and compact gear.

Why we can’t run every color under the sun
Hats that are this custom require huge minimum order quantities, and as a small business, we have to be strategic about how many colors we run at once. Every new color is a real commitment.
Over the years we’ve done quite a few color variations like OD green, desert tan, multicam camo, and blue. Some were hits, some werent’. But none have stood out as solid fan favorites like Black and Coyote Brown. They’re the workhorse colors we fight to keep in stock.
But, no matter which colors we run, one request never stopped showing up:
“Bring back the grey!”
It’s an easy ask from the outside, but sometimes it’s not that straight forward. We tried. We had failed dye batches, fading colors, production changes, new mills, and more…
But we didn't give up. We continued the pursuit, we dialed it in, and we brought it to life!
Introducing Storm Grey
As a tribute to the original Cache Cap, we’re adding grey to the lineup of colors, with a cool-shifted modern adaptation.
Storm Grey isn’t here to announce you. It’s here to support you.
It’s the subtle calm-before-the-storm. The cool, level base of blue-slate. A greyman shade that blends in nearly anywhere, downtown, on the trail, and overseas, without screaming “tactical” or “outdoor cosplay.”
