What is the Cache Cap™?

An unassuming baseball cap with six hidden pockets to stash cash, cards, or survival essentials without cramping your style.

How many pockets does the Cache Cap™ have, and where are they located?

There are 6 hidden pockets:

  • 3 Dome pockets (top panels)
  • 1 Brim pocket (inside the bill)
  • 2 Slot pockets (low-profile, quick stash)
What can I store in the Cache Cap™?

Small, flat, lightweight items work best: cash, cards/ID, a key, a mini ferro rod, bandages, dog bags, a coin cell light, or items from our Adventure or Essentials Kits.

If it’s bulky, sharp, or heavy, it’ll print and feel weird on your head.

Does the Cache Cap™ fit “shallow” or ride high on some heads?

On some people, yes, especially if you have a larger head or load up the pockets. Because the cap has built-in storage, adding bulky or stacked items can make it sit a bit higher than a normal hat.

Best Results: keep stored items flat and minimal, and avoid stacking thick objects in the dome pockets if you’re sensitive to fit.

Can I access the pockets while wearing it?

The brim pocket is sometimes reachable while wearing it, but most pockets are easier to access if you take the hat off.

For stealth + comfort, we recommend popping it off, grabbing what you need, and popping it back on.

Will items fall out of the pockets? What should I store to keep it secure and comfortable?

The Cache Cap™ works best with small, flat items. Overstuffing or using bulky items can make the hat sit higher and can cause items to shift when taking the hat on/off.

Recommended items: cash, cards, ID, folded dog bags, Band-Aids, tiny tools, small tinder tabs, etc.

Avoid: thick stacks, heavy tools, or anything rigid/bulky that changes the shape of the crown

How do I clean the Cache Cap™?
  • Hand wash cold with mild detergent
  • Do not hot soak (some dyes can bleed, especially bright colors)
  • Air dry only (no dryer)
  • Spot-cleaning is your friend between washes
Are there different versions of the Cache Cap™? What does the current version include?

Yes. We’ve made a few versions of the Cache Cap™ over the years as we’ve improved the design.

The current version of the Cache Cap, in all colors, includes:
