Great to own if you love the outdoors!

I where this in combo with my viking whetstone necklace. I am always wanting to start fires when I am out and about on our 1000 some acre property. So this is perfect! Also can be hung from anything basically. Or tucked in a pocket or pouch. Along with the whetstone.

Replacement

This is my second bushcraft necklace. My old one started a few fires, an alcohol stove many times, touched up a few knife edges, and was broken in just right, but I left it laying in a drawer for a while and the ferro rod corroded beyond repair and ruined the whole thing. I was able to salvage the ceramic striker, but the rest was trashed. Definitely my favorite use is that it is perfect for starting stoves, the peace of mind of having a backup, and the ceramic comes in handy for a quick hone on a knife in a pinch (you just have to be real careful).

Love it but…..

Love this but.. something in the leather gives me a rash after wearing it a week or two and not a guy that usually has sensitive skin with materials.

Perfect gift

I got one for my birthday and gave one to my husband on his 2 weeks later. We love these and would give them to others as gifts. Great outdoorsman addition.
