This leather, fire-starting necklace is an innovation that combines primitive technique with present technology, the Bushcraft™ Necklace is inspired by the tried and true method of traditional fire-making.

We've adapted traditional “Flint & Steel” methods into a modern-day version in this classy two-part pendant. Combined with rich mahogany brown leather and tied with classic mountaineering knots, it is a weekday accessory that can become a weekend lifesaver.

I have had this bushcraft necklace paired with the Viking-stone (both on sale as stand-alone and cheaper than ordering the single paired price when I purchased) and wearing it for the 3rd week. Multiple people inquire about it every week. I think I may be selling a few of these for Wazoo but it is because it's an outstanding product. Have had no issues on two weekend trips now starting fire with this product paired with some birch bark.

I was flipping thru YEARS old outdoor magazines,and came across an article for the Wazoo Firestarter necklace.I was impressed immediately.Practical, can't lose it,closer at hand,looked good,and the price was affordable....I then realized the article was about 5 years old or so,and I was SOL...I thought there's no way y'all would still be in business. As much as I hate to say " I Googled it" I did,and y'all were still in business,I could still get one.The only change was the price,still affordable (much appreciated y'all!) I had to wait until they were back in stock,but hey,good things come to those who wait...The leather lasted awhile,but unfortunately disintegrated..Luckily,it fell apart in my hand.I would've Lost it if I had lost it. Finally ordered my replacement Firestarter necklace,2 actually....(refer back to the losing it part) My motto explains alot too... Semper Eadem So many more must haves to purchase.My oldest son is my hiker,camper....so I bought him 3 of the firecards. He had heard of them,and wanted to buy some.....Moms just know,Great minds think alike,and you can NEVER be overprepared. We just stumble upon the under prepared,and help their wazoos....
