The Holiday Sticker That’s Actually About Courage (Yes, Really)
We’ve made a few limited-edition holiday stickers over the years. Not because the world desperately needs another sticker (or maybe it does). But because a good sticker can be a tiny, everyday nudge toward the kind of person you want to be.
This one was festive. It was also a little questionable.
It was inspired by that infamous “leg lamp” from the 1983 movie A Christmas Story, the one that the dad wins and proudly displays like a trophy from a strange, glittery universe. If you know, you know. 😉
Our version? Same bold energy, less living-room scandal.
- The word “Wazoo” running down the leg
- A glow that tips the hat to the original 💡
- And instead of a high heel… a hiking boot 🥾 because Wazoo doesn’t do “fragile.” We are “ready.”

Why does a holiday sticker have anything to do with Wazoo?
Here’s the part that matters.
Wazoo exists for a simple reason: to help people feel more capable stepping into the unknown.
Not “doomsday bunker capable.”
More like “I’ll figure it out” capable.
We build gear that gives you a little extra confidence to say YES to the things you haven’t done before.
- Because you wear a hat that can discreetly carry small essentials (like backup medication)
- Because you carry a bandana that helps you learn skills like wild edible foraging
- Because you carry everyday gear that feels normal…until the moment they quietly save the day
That’s the whole vibe. Capability without the chest-thumping.
The real origin story
This sticker wasn’t born from a corporate brainstorm where everyone nods thoughtfully and pretends they love the phrase “market fit.”
It came from the most Wazoo place possible: someone jumping in during the e-commerce holiday madness and saying…
“I’ve never done this before, but I can probably figure it out.”
Our Warehouse Manager, Cyd, took this sticker idea from concept to reality. Before Wazoo, she hadn’t designed a sticker. She hadn’t managed a warehouse. She hadn’t taken on a long list of the projects she now absolutely crushes.
And that’s the foundation Wazoo is built on.
We’re not powered by “experts only.”
We’re powered by curiosity, scrappiness, and the willingness to learn mid-flight.
Sometimes that learning includes collaborating with designers who casually drop words like vector and rasterize, as if everyone was born knowing them. (They were not. We checked.)
Cyd did the thing anyway. She researched, managed the project, asked the questions, and got it done.
That’s the whole point.

Wazoo’s mission, in plain English
When you’re prepared for the unexpected, you have the confidence to step into the unknown.
Freer to travel.
Freer to wander.
Freer to say yes to a plan that didn’t exist yesterday.
That’s what we mean when we say Wazoo is your adventure ally: we’re not the hero. You are. Our job is to be the clever sidekick in your pocket, on your belt, or on your head, quietly increasing the odds that you’ll step forward instead of hesitating.
So… what was the sticker really for?
Sure, it now lives on water bottles, laptops, coolers, and field notebooks.
But the real job of that sticker was always this:
A small reminder with a big attitude.
Try the thing you haven’t done before.
Start messy. Learn fast. Repeat.
Also, let it glow a little while it does. 💡
Keep the “Never Done This Before” Muscle Strong
That holiday sticker was a limited run, but the idea behind it is year-round.
The world is basically an endless series of doors labeled “Push.” Some are obvious. Some are intimidating. Some have a sign taped on them that says “Are you sure?” in suspicious handwriting.
Our whole mission is to help you push anyway.
Not recklessly. Not loudly. Just…confidently.
Because when you’re prepared for the unexpected, you get something better than gear. You get options. You get freedom. You get that calm, capable feeling that says:
“I don’t need to have done this before. I just need to be willing to figure it out.”
That’s Wild Capability. That’s Wazoo. And whether it shows up as a sticker, a hidden pocket, a weirdly useful tool, or a new skill you try on for size, the goal stays the same:
Go do the thing. We’ll be your sidekick. 🥾💡
