Flag Flown Over U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan

As mentioned in this previous survival story post, a customer of ours graced us with a handwritten note and offered to have a flag flown over an embassy in our honor. If we never heard from him again, we would still have been thrilled with just the note and his personal story of how our gear helps him in his high-risk undercover occupation.

However, we received a rather large box in the mail recently. While it's contents were anticipated in advance, it was unexpectedly overwhelming in person. A big box that encased a framed United States flag, along with 2 challenge coins, and an official certificate.

This is one of those moments where you have to take a step back and think "Never thought this journey would take us in this direction! How are we going to top this?"

(For operation security, the customer asked us to keep his identity hidden.)

Copy that will give you chill bumps:

"Be it known by all, this flag was flown in the face of the enemy, illuminated in the dark by the light of justice, and bears witness to the removal of terrorist forces threatening the freedom of the United States of America. It was flown with great honor and pride over our nation's Embassy, where each day Americans fight the Global War on Terrorism in remembrance of all who lost their lives."

It has take it's place as a very bragworthy addition to our wall in the Wazoo Survival Gear office. When you take a moment to really take it all in, how can anyone fully appreciate the grandeur and significance of such a humbling honor?
