The Viking Whetstone Pendant modernizes a traditional tool used by Vikings for sharpening and honing blades and tools. Consistently maintaining a sharp edge of your blades is the key making them long-lasting. We created the Viking Whetstone as a functional and fashionable pendant to give you the power to do more with what you wear, everyday.
Unlike other knife sharpeners, the Viking Whetstone features 4 different grinds to maintain not just a knifes' edge, but the blades of axes, hooks, saws, needles, and so much more.

HOW-TO VIDEOS
1. Put the necklace on with the clasp unclipped. Adjust the pendant to hang at your desired location. (See Photos Below)
2. Have a buddy stand behind you and hold both ends of the necklace around the back of your neck with the ends overlapping. (See Photos Below)
3. Note where the ends overlap. Mark, measure, or make a really really really good mental note excess on ends.
- The average person cuts 2-3” off each end.
4. Use a sharp knife or scissors to cut the necklace (≈45°) at the desired length. (See Video)
- Remember to "measure thrice, cut once" to avoid making a mistake. The clasp will add about 3/4” or 2cm back to the circumference which is probably a good safety margin to leave.
5. Attach the clasp to the end of the necklace.
6. Try on the necklace to ensure it fits comfortably and repeat process if needed.

FAQs
Water is the best thing to use to wet your stone before use. If you don't have access to water, spit works just as well.
Absolutly, YES! We created this product to be worn everywhere, all the time, so that you’re always prepared for any situation.
Wearing the leather necklaces in the shower is actually better for them in the long run, since it assures that you’ll be keeping the leather clean - just as you are keeping your body. Salt water and sweat can affect the integrity of the ferrocerium rod. As with any metal, they can corrode the ferrocerium rod if left on for an extended period of time. When rinsing off the necklace, make sure to move the ferrocerium rod up and down the leather to completely rinse off any residue from all parts of the necklace.
We recommend using Obenauf's Leather Oil - All Natural Beeswax Oil Conditioner when the leather feels dry. You should also shower with the necklace on, this will help wash off any grime from the leather, just in the same way it does for you body :)
