A Field Reference and Foraging Tool

We designed this bandana to act as a learning primer, field aid, and emergency reference. For newbies, this bandana serves as a fun, stepping-stone educational tool. For more experienced foragers, this bandana should encourage impromptu foraging, help in sharing the passion of foraging with others, demonstrate alignment with the foraging lifestyle, and help promote awareness of continued education in this field.

Foraging is an art that's all but lost in today's modern society, but it can make a huge difference in your life. A foraging tool like this bandana is meant to give a person power over their situation, leading to purpose, and the ability to self-aid and self-rescue.

The Foraging Bandana was designed in cooperation with some of the finest foraging instructors. We worked with experts, Mark "Merriwether" Vorderbruggen and Dr. Nicole Apelian, to select the plants listed on this bandana.

  • Lists the most common plants/fungus of North America, including their common and scientific names
  • Indicates the field uses of all 12 plants/fungus using part indicator icons on each plant illustration
  • Includes the ”5 Steps of Identifying Edible Plants” by Samuel Thayer and ”Rules and Ethics of Foraging” by Mark "Merriwether" Vorderbruggen

Great way to make a bandana even more useful

What a great way to make a bandana even more useful. The wild edible guide is good as a confirmation to ID plants and the bandana has so many uses otherwise.

This was a super hit for the hikers in my family. Foraging for mushrooms in the forest will always be possible with this light weight bring a long additional carrier.

This Bandana is so good, I wrote it into my Award-Nominated Book Series!

As an aficianado of all things Foraging, I am a fangirl of Mark Merriwether Vorderbruggen - so when I saw this bandana was available, I HAD to buy it. Little did I know how absolutely gorgeous and durable this bandana was... everybody who saw it LOVED it and I had to buy more for friends and family. I ended up loving the Wazoo Foraging Bandana so much, I wrote it into my Sci-Fi Western Book Series as a foraging aid for my Main Character... My Series, WATCHER of the DAMNED, ended up being a three-time Nominee for Novel of the Year by the Prometheus Award. Now Wazoo is listed in the credits for the series, along with a link to this amazing little bandana, a gift for Survivors and Foragers alike!
