By far the coolest!

I was just searching for survival bracelets and the Wazoo bracelets, by far, look like the coolest and most well-made and well-equipped bracelets I've found. Lo and behold, the Wazoo Facebook page announces that there's a giveaway happening right now! *FINGERS CROSSED!*

Beautifully made, with a soupcon of personal risk.

I thought I'd wait a couple of weeks before writing a review. The bracelet arrived eventually. UK customers be warned you'll have an approximate $20 surcharge to pay to the post office before you can collect yr bracelet, so ends up being rather expensive. Seemingly beautifully made, fitted like a glove, lit my homemade tinder (cotton wool, Vaseline & wax) within a few strikes: everything I was hoping for. However, although I can't comment on the innards of the bracelet, I can say that the rough ends of the wire saw, though covered up to, but not including, the tip, and covered by a ranger band, wear through the band, eventually splitting it, and have caused me a deep bleeding scratch to my chest sustained whilst sleeping. Luckily I'm not American & litigious. I would recommend that this is not, or at least mine isn't without extra outlay, an every day, 24/7 wear bracelet. Well, not unless you wish to possibly receive a nasty scratch, or wish to purchase extra ranger bands at extra expense to over up the naked wire ends. A brilliant concept that falls annoyingly slightly short in reality. Now I only wear it when I enter situations where I might possibly need the capabilities of the bracelet, but certainly not 24/7. I would recommend and have, but with a large caveat.

Greatbracelet wit an element of personal damage and risk.

I thought I'd wait a couple of weeks before writing a review. Live with it a little. It fits like a glove, lit my home-made tinder (cotton-wool/Vaseline/wax) within 3 strikes, is understatedly attractive, and is secure as a chain-link. Nothing to detract from my excitement and happiness...apart from the $18 customs surcharge before delivery, 8 days between payment being accepted and actual postage, and rough tips of the wire saw, that although covered TO the tip do NOT cover the actual cut tip, meaning the sharp ragged ends cut through the ranger bands, causing them to split in half, necessitating the purchase of more bands, adding to the already not lowly price. Not only that, but the ragged saw ends have left me with a long, bloody scratch to my chest sustained whilst sleeping. Luckily I'm not litigious. So all in all, great item, but not for every day 24/7 wear. If you do wish to wear it 24/7 I'd check the saw ends first. IF they're neat and safe, you'd be hard pushed to find better. If they're not, caveat emptor. I recommend, but with an important codicil.
