This whetstone sharpener can do it all.

The history & evolution of a whetstone pendant

Keeping knives and tools sharp while out in the field has been an issue ever since blades were first carried. The solution to this problem dates back over 1000 years, to when Iron Age Vikings introduced a compact sharpening stone that could be tied to the body and taken into the field. This ancient but tried and true tool has become our modern-day whetstone.

Great company that stands behind great products

Very good. I received one Spark that didn’t seem to be the right rare variety and they immediately made good and sent me a new one that was what I expected. No questions or hassles or anything. Am enjoying using the Viking Spark. It works surprisingly well as a fire starter and it’s nice to have a small but very decent Arkansas stone handy to touch up my knives. Also looks great.

Great piece of kit

I had a viking whetstone necklace before, I ended up losing it... This was a great replacement I haven't had a chance to use the ferro rod yet, but the clasp is way better than the 2 knots on the older whetstone necklaces.

Seems good

I have not used it in the field yet but it does spark and I touched up a few knives. It looks pretty cool and is small enough to consider taking it rather than leaving it when considering weight. I’m looking forward to getting it outside!
